The latest professional charger with integrated Bluetooth is the Blue Smart IP67 waterproof battery charger.

The Blue Smart IP67 waterproof charger is suitable for use in both workshop gadgets and motor vehicles such as (vintage) automobiles, motorcycles, boats, and RVs.

This charger includes a 7-stage charging algorithm that intelligently charges the battery by supplying it with the required power while keeping its good condition, delivering greater performance and a longer battery life.

Victron battery chargers will attempt to recharge a deeply drained battery by forcing a low current flow into it. It will recharge the battery naturally as soon as there is enough voltage at the battery terminals.

The battery state may be monitored remotely through smartphone, tablet, or laptop thanks to the charger’s built-in Bluetooth. The free Victron Connect app may be used to customize all charger parameters.

The new Victron IP67 charger, with its cast aluminum shell and resin-moulded electrical components, is shockproof, fireproof, and completely waterproof.

The highest level of efficiency ever!

Victron establishes a new industry record, generating three to four times less heat with an efficiency of 92% or higher. When the battery is completely charged, power consumption drops to less than one watt, which is five to ten times lower than the industry norm.

Variable charging method with four stages: initial-absorption-floatation-storage

The Blue Power charger has “variable” battery management controlled by a microcontroller. Its “variable” feature will optimize the charging process dependent on the battery’s use.

When the battery is not in use, it requires less ageing and maintenance: the “Storage” mode.

When the battery has not been drained for 24 hours, the storage mode is engaged. To avoid gassing and corrosion of the positive plates during storage, the float voltage is decreased to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for 12 V batteries). Once a week, the voltage is restored to the absorption level in order to “equalise” the battery.

This feature prevents the major causes of battery failure, electrolyte stratification and sulphation.

It is also capable of charging LiFePO4 lithium batteries.

A simple initial charge-absorption-float technique is used to charge LiFePO4 lithium batteries.

Protection against overheating

It is suitable for usage in a heated setting, such as an engine room. As the temperature climbs to 60°C, the output current decreases, yet the charger does not fail.
